About Me

Just finished my first long bike adventure London to Amsterdam. Now cycling through Denmark to Sweden.

Living a genuine passionate life is my priority. I am a yogi who is very interested in the more spiritual and mental sides of yoga, though I also practice asanas daily. I love visual arts and poetry, history and philosophy, and cycling and exploring. When in Australia I'm a Paediatric Nurse. In Thailand I trained and worked in massage and use this when possible travelling.
I have always had an interest in helping people and learning different ways to do so, and hope to continue to learn different forms of medicine to better combine western, yogic and traditional medical systems.
I value strongly respect and openness. I love to learn new things and meet new people, and in fact the highlights of many of my adventures has been the people I have the opportunity to engage with.
I am comfortable conversing in Spanish and starting to progress in Portuguese, though a little rusty in both. Always curious to pick up little bits of language, particularly Hindi and Romanian.
I'm celiac and vegetarian but very open to food otherwise (and I always find something to try regardless!), and can cook vegan food that will make you question why we eat meat.

Although I love meeting new people and sharing time, I'm also very easy going and independent. If sharing time I must warn that I have a daily physical & meditation yoga practice of about 3 hours a day, so might need to take time for that, though of course you're welcome to join.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sometimes the best experiences travelling are the people you meet. Whether forming friendships, sharing a meal or even a few stories or local info.
Or if just to unceremoniously share some positive energy to take forward.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music all over the place, I like to listen to new styles and artists.
Some directors I like are Jarmusch, the Coens, Gilliam, Anderson, Welled.
I'm a literature major so I could rattle of the standard pretensious authors :) my favourite is Cormac McCarthy (undisputed ruler of pretense).
Lately I mostly read about spirituality, or poetry (Pablo Neruda is a favourite)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently waking up right on the Dover cliffs for a dawn birthday meditation
