Overview
About Me
I'm originally from Beverly, MA, but I'm currently living in Philadelphia, PA around Temple University's Main Campus where I study Jazz Education with a concentration in bass trombone. Additionally, I work part time in two schools, and am a passionate researcher. I am easy going and flexible, and I love to meet new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because my brother used this website to take a trip around the world. After he got home he told me about what an incredible experience it was, and how grateful he was to the people who had hosted him. When I expressed interest, he told me that he has been hosting for years and loves that as well. I'm on Couchsurfing to tap into the community of people who share a passion for travel, and want to help others reach their goals.
Interests
My interests are primarily within the arts. I am a musician and an avid music listener, and I also enjoy visual art and theater. I am studying to become an educator, and I take a strong interest in the ways that people learn and perceive the world around them.
Other interests of mine include history, culinary arts, journalism, and chess.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've started doing a lot of research and writing this year! I have two articles, one on the history of the bass trombone and one on classroom management strategies of student teachers, that I'm in the process of editing with the hopes of someday getting published. I'm starting a third project studying the effects of meditation practice within beginning band classrooms, and I'm excited to see where it takes me!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about music, and I can teach you how to play (at least to some extent) pretty much any instrument you'd like to learn.
I'm a teacher and researcher, and I believe a day spent without learning something new is a day wasted. I see the world as a classroom, to both learn and teach in, and there is nothing on this planet I enjoy more than a healthy exchange of ideas.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be excited to share food, responsibility for household chores, and many smiles with whoever is gracious enough to host me!
