Overview
About Me
Hey,
My name is Ryan. I'm a 27 year-old American who is currently living and working in Paris. I love discovering new foods, reading, traveling, and meeting new and interesting people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that couchsurfing is a great way to meet new people and make connections all over the world. It allows us to open ourselves to new ways of living and doing and being and that's just really cool to me.
Interests
I'm very interested in urbanism and public policy, how we perceive "space" in the physical, psychological and physiological sense. I could talk for hours about city planning and public space. I'm also really interested in diplomacy and foreign policy, mostly from a geopolitical standpoint. A common theme in my interests is our perception and identity tied to space.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of music, but lately I've been into Japanese jazzy hip-hop (cf. this awesome blog: https://www.magicalmysterymix.com/)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once took a last minute trip to Rome that involved a 15 hours bus ride through the Alps, and not only was the trip incredible but I got to discover the eternal city on a whim. One of the best trips I've ever had.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm very curious by nature and I love learning and sharing. I know probably way more useless (but also some useful too) anecdotal tidbits than I should, but let's just say they can make for good conversation starters.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a respectable, responsible guest I can share and respect a common space. I love listening to peoples experiences and life stories, and I can share stories and experiences of my own.
