About Me

I'm originally from a small but beautiful town in Northern NY by the name of Saratoga Springs. I've moved around quite a bit, having lived in England (semester abroad), Trinidad, Houston and now Oklahoma City. I also spent about 2.5 years traveling and working overseas where I was fortunate to have the opportunity to see and experience a lot of unique and interesting cultures. I have a strong passion for travel, having new experiences, and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting new and interesting people from around the world - whether that be while traveling or meeting others that are on their own adventure...although I prefer the former ;-) There's no better way to get a true feel for a culture than staying with a local.

Interests

I enjoy experiencing new places and meeting new people.

I enjoy SCUBA diving and have been diving all over the world. I plan to continue my certifications until I am at a level that I can teach - currently advanced PADI certified.

I'm a podcast and documentary junky

Cooking is something that I enjoy - especially when it's new recipes from different parts of the world.

My latest read was Chasing the Scream...if you have any doubts about how backwards our drug policies are in the US, this book will clear those doubts right up.

Other books I've really enjoyed include: The Alchemist, Into the Wild, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, Into Thin Air, Man's Search for Meaning...

Please recommend any good books that you've enjoyed!

Movies include The Shawshank Redemption, Boondock Saints, Reservoir Dogs, City of God...
