Ryan is a proud, recent graduate of Morehouse College, Class of ‘14, over which he also serves as President of his class. During Ryan’s time at Morehouse, he served as Technology Director of the Award Winning Student Newspaper, The Maroon Tiger where he reinvigorated and established their online brand and increased engagement and viewership by over 153%. His duties as Senior Class President included leading a campaign to get Jay-Z as Morehouse Commencement Speaker which ended not as planned, raising funds for graduating student balances, and planning social and informative events. Ryan is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School Summer Venture in Management Program, Class of 2013.

Throughout college, Ryan has worked with the Morehouse College Dept. of Fundraising, Google, and also Deloitte Consulting. During his time at Google, he developed online marketing strategies for clients such as Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Ave with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $4 Million per quarter. Ryan also worked at Deloitte Consulting where he worked to implement business software into a $3 Billion Dollar company.

After graduation, Ryan began working at Deloitte Consulting full time doing technology consulting for companies like Paypal, Motorola and others. After a year and a half while working full-time, Ryan returned back to his entrepreneurial roots by starting to develop Charmer, a mobile app that allows you to describe your friends and experiences in 3 words. They aim to make long, ineffective reviews shorter, more simple, more social, and more mobile. Charmer is currently raising their seed round at a $3.5 million dollar valuation that is expected to close mid January. Charmer launches on the Apple App Store, January 18, 2016 or Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Ryan has a deep passion for entrepreneurship, business and tech and is one of the most unapologetically black men you’ll ever meet. He loves to help his community every chance he gets by working with small and medium size businesses to help them improve their business through web & software development, online branding and marketing to help their bottom line!
