About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's life.

ABOUT ME

I do not know where to begin. I am a jack of all trades and everything interests me. If I can put my hands on it, I will.

I generally like what I do professionally and am looking to combine work and travel.

I have just graduated from Louisiana State University in Civil and Environmental Engineering. I may pursue a master's degree in Goetechnical Engineering.

Outside of work, I am pretty mild mannered and tolerant. I am willing to explore and try new things. I am currently trying to teach myself Russian and how to play the Irish whistle. I like the outdoors. Kayaking, biking, and fishing are my favorites. In terms of nightlife, I am a fan of the live music scene; I am not much of a club patron. I love a good, home cooked meal and the more foreign / exotic, the better.

There are too many things to list, but even if I did, I would still be missing the things that I do not know of that I want to discover. We only live once and I want to dedicate my time to exploring.

The best advice I have ever recieved is, "You're not old until you're 30." I am using this figurativley to finally live free of unnecessary restraints.

PHILOSOPHY

The world can be what you want it to be if you try.

Don't ask, don't get.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything with an involved plot.

Favorite movie: Eastern Promises
Favorite Book: Forgotten Soldier

I like most war, gang, criminal, and historical genres.

I listen to just about anything, but I prefer original music that the artist actually wrote. I like folk music of any and every culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best things I have seen are the Philippine Islands. I spent a few days on a small resort island of Boracay and a day on Mt. Samat in Bataan. They are both awe-inspiring and wholesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some are weary of trusting others, but I have found that trust is not ignorant and naive. One can have a blind faith in humanity and be right. This site helps to break those prejudices.

Countries I’ve Visited

Greece, Ireland, Philippines, Russian Federation
