Hey all, my name is Ryan. I was born in the Pennines of Northern England, with the accent to match! More recently, I’ve lived in Birmingham and various parts of Poland, but really want to see more of the world, even if the appeal of the £10 Ryanair flight is too much sometimes.

I currently work in international education, working with various US universities and organisations, and work on camps in the summer. I’m also completing a masters in Education, although I am taking a break to try and get inspired.

Some days I like to explore and others I do like to just chill in a coffee shop and watch the world go by. So if you have any good coffee shop recommendations, let me know!

I do try and live as authentically as I can do, whilst means I am unapologetically queer. Whilst I do try and respect everyone’s opinions and ideals, it is better to be amicable on some points than others.

I want to meet like minded travellers who have the same passions as I do. I think staying in hotels are nice, but it doesn’t give you the real experience of being with someone who lives in that city, town or village. I want to become more open minded and I think this is the perfect opportunity to be so!

I love a good natter with a coffee, but I also like to explore the culture of a city. My perfect type of exploring is just walking down streets and getting lost.

Musica, film e libri

Music: a little bit of everything. Currently have an obsession over artists like Isaac Dunbar, Phoebe Bridgers, and obviously the classics like Madonna and Cher.

Movies: Don’t really watch a lot of movies, but I do love a good Sci-Fi film like Star Trek, or even a cheeky Disney movie like Encanto!

Books: I do love a good book which pulls at the heartstrings- recently read Here’s to Us, Aristotle and Dante Dive into the Waters of the World, and currently reading Fifteen Hundred Miles from the Sun. There’s definitely a theme here

I have a real passion for international study and I currently work in study abroad, so if you ever want to know anything about this, please ask! I love baking, and making a banging lemon drizzle cake, and I can string a few sentences together in Finnish 🇫🇮

Other than my northern humour, fantastic baking skills (thanks mum!), and random facts about things you never knew you wanted to know, I think I’m a very friendly person. I want to bring a difference perspective to peoples’ lives and also want to promote how to make a good cuppa tea!
