I'm a full-time student of urban planning living in Southern California. When not in school or spending time stuck in California's never-ending traffic congestion, I volunteer with a non-profit to improve public health in impoverished neighborhoods. When I'm finally done with my studies next year, I plan to become a rail transportation planner to improve mobility around Los Angeles!

I'm a very warm, down-to-earth person. I really enjoy having in-depth conversations with people and getting to know what their lives are like. I like learning from the experiences of others. I like exploring and getting acquainted with cities, their people, their history, and experiencing them on multiple scales. That said, I also enjoy experiencing nature (hiking, kayaking, enjoying the scenery).

*I don't really drink alcohol (but that doesn't mean that I can't hold a good conversation!) so I hope you're cool with that!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am planning a trip to Canada this summer and I am looking for a way to stay within a budget while meeting REAL people from the cities I want to visit. I want to encounter new people and their perspectives and share our experiences with each other. This is my first time using Couchsurfing so if it works out I'd be down to use it on my future trips!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I once biked a 60 mile roundtrip from my house by the coast up to the San Gabriel Mountains and back within 8 hours! It was painful and my legs hated me but it's something I'll never forget doing!
-I got completely soaked by a cloud of mist from the bottom of Niagara Falls!
-I journeyed across Canada by myself for two weeks!

I love to engage with new and different perspectives on a variety of different subjects ranging from urbanism, languages, culture, sociology, politics, and life experiences. I can also engage in small talk if that suits the occasion ;)
