About Me

Music, cooking, and skateboarding are my main gigs. I play mandolin, banjo, and guitar . Been traveling as much as possible since 2011, mostly by means of my converted school bus and hitch hiking with an instrument of sorts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My initial reason for joining is my trip to Europe. In hopes to meet locals, and get aquainted with the culture as much as possible during my stay in each city.

The other reason being that my roommate and myself house musicians passing through playing the many venues in our area. We house musicians and traveling folk when ever we can, and want to extend that invite to the network of people on this site.

Music, Movies, and Books

I play in a traditional New orleans jazz band as well as some bluegrass bands as well. I listen to a lot of The Wood Brothers, Tom Waits, David Grisman, Bela Fleck, Grateful Dead, Louis Armstrong, Willy Nelson, Hank Williams, Phish, Tadeski Trucks Band, Funkadelic, MF Doom, just about anything. Here is some of the original music I produced Ramblershome.bandcamp.com

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bought a school bus that ran on veggie oil, converted it into a mobile home and drove it back and forth across the USA and have seen 46 states

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to share my understanding of music and cooking that I've gained in the states with anyone interested, and possibly learn about the food and live music culture in the cities I visit from those I stay with.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook you delicious dinner, and play for you the the music I have learned here in the states. I have many stories I could share about my years of travel through over 40 states. I hope to share an ear to listen and learn from those I stay with about what excites them about their city.
I would also gladly trade a formal music lesson (guitar, mandolin) for a spot on a couch!
