About Me

I grew up in a tourist town (Lake Tahoe) and now live in sunny San Diego! I swam competitively most of my youth. i've been on my own since the age of 18 and have a lot of life experience (but dont we all?). Ask me anything, I'm an open book. I love taking pictures and capturing the world through a lens, although the pictures never do it any justice. If you want to see some, check out my Instagram account: https://instagram.com/liberatedson/

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to surf and host. I'm currently traveling, making my way through Europe and I'd love to meet up. I've seen a lot of the United States (about 45 of them) and this is my first time abroad! CS just adds to the experience of traveling, whether it's for myself or for someone else. There's something about entering the world of someone else that you can't exchange for anything. Different cultures, different food, different beliefs, hopefully all friendly faces!

Interests

I like to draw, swim, bike, shoot photos, read... pretty much anything I can do outdoors! I used to BMX bike when I was a kid but became more serious about swimming.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is the Bible and anything related. I like all sorts of movies:
Goodwill Hunting, anything with Christian Bale including Equilibrium, Edward Norton movies.. the list is very long. I love some of the classics like Shawshank Redemption and Green Mile. and of course Cast Away!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

one amazing thing... can I name two?
I've went skydiving which was one of the most exhilarating things..
I've had the privilege of being able to hike up Mt. St. Helens. left at 3 in the morning, hiked up the ridge and watched the sunrise. one thing I will never forget!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, I'm never opposed to cooking for some people. We actually have a number of people living in the house, all of which have different backgrounds. You will be able to meet a diverse group of people! We have couches and floor space available for people to crash, if you're okay with that.
