About Me

I am a recent college graduate and a junior world-traveler. I love to explore and experience new cultures, cuisines, and customs and falling in love with new places. I love to meet new people and share stories of life and adventure. I had originally planned to travel Latin America for a year, but one month into my travels I got a year-long position in Guatemala (starting in January 2020) so I'm taking some time before my start date to travel around Mexico, Guatemala, and Nicaragua - and I hope you see you there!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What better way to get to know a country or its people than through actually meeting the locals?! I love getting to know people from all different backgrounds and all different aims in life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a self-admitted geek who loves Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Star Trek. I also enjoy a good comedy and can't shy away from a good horror movie.

In terms of music, I like almost anything but have a special passion for classic rock, folk, and Motown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My overall favorite travel experience has been exploring Guatemala and Mexico with my siblings. The trip itself was amazing, but the chance to bond with my siblings in a really new and exciting way was incredible. The fights and the cursing and the constant bickering were worth every vista, every street taco, and every new friendship. The two months spent together totally changed the way in which I see and respect my brother and sister, and I am eternally grateful for that amazing opportunity.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't necessarily have amazing skills in the realms of juggling, fire-breathing, cupboard making, or belly-dancing, but I do have a few fallbacks in life. I am an avid card-game and board game fan (no seriously, it will shock you how much I like them) and I always carry a couple of decks of playing cards for anyone interested in learning a new game. I am in possession of the experiences of living in Nicaragua for a year and am a great resource for anyone planning to travel there! I can also load a mean dishwasher.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a good sense of humor and enjoy conversing with new people. I am good about being clean, doing dishes, being respectful of house rules, and I am a beast at movie trivia.
