Overview
About Me
I finished my Bachelor’s degree in this May in Medical Lab Science. I’ll be one of the people that works with the specimens in hospitals, so that your doctor can tell you if something is going on with you. I’m fascinated how the body works like what is normal, then from there understand the abnormal which is where we get diseases. Since my training is in the lab, then I see the many tests doctors/ providers order and understand why they chose those tests, what there looking for, trying to rule out, etc.
On the weekends I like to go on long trail runs. It’s the best way for me to get ready for the week to let everything go for a few hours. Still pretty new to it, so I’ve been falling on the rocks a lot! But it’s super fun trying to jump over rocks and roots successfully and enjoy nature.
I’m a fan of trying new things, things like eating balut, a duck embryo, after hiking a mountain in Cebu, Philippines only to find out that it didn’t taste so bad as much as it looked.
Philosophy:
Jump. I live by diving in and seeing what’s underneath. If I have an idea that I’ve been itching to follow through and it’s still present when I wake up the next day - even three months, then I’ve gotta try to attempt it. Because if I don’t, then I’ll have regret. So, I have been working to minimize regrets and maximize actions and experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’d like to see the world from the viewpoint of a local. It’s nice to visit places, but it would be even more nice to get to meet people living there and learning about them. I’ve only gone to a couple of hostels before, but those couple of times I kept to myself and my friends. Next time it’ll be different and maybe I can meet people who live in these places and learn about them. I’d like to have a conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m a huge fan of anime and manga stories. I’ve been exposed to a lot, so I could keep on talking about them for a while like Naruto, One Piece, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.
Some my favorite music genres to listen to are: Reggae, alternative and rock
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have finished a marathon before. It was physically the most painful experience, but it was mentally and emotionally rewarding when I crossed the line.
Teach, Learn, Share
When meeting new people, you can learn new things. I would like to learn what someone’s day is like in a city other than my own.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A genuine conversation and hopefully to make a new friend.
