About Me

I'm from New Orleans but currently evacuated for work. Growing up in the south makes you really appreciate ground that isn't flat and water that isn't murky. I work a lot, unfortunately, but plan to make the most of my four weeks of vacation each year. I tend to migrate to Colorado most often, but I'm always open to following the river to the mountains or the sea. I'm in love with people who are in love with the world and most in love with my future, way-too-good-for-me wife, Sheena. Cheers to traveling - see you out there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why not?! From my short time on Couchsurfing, I've noticed that it's a community of people who simply love to travel and pay it forward. I think well traveled people are super interesting and tend to connect with that type the most. I'm always looking to meet interesting people!

Interests

Anything outdoors...hiking, backpacking, camping. I love the water, be it a river or a beach. I'm a want-to-be photographer and tend to have a camera or GoPro with me at all times. I'm unhealthily addicted to traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I bounce between indie folk and whatever the latest term for the EDM genre is. Unfortunately, most of the books I have read in the past few years are textbooks, but I did enjoy reading The Complete Short Stories of Ernest Hemingway over the summer. As far as movies, I love documentaries and historical fiction! 180 degrees South and Inglourious Basterds come to mind. I've been a big WWD buff for a while now, so Band of Brothers, WW2 in HD, etc are some favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running with the bulls in Pamplona was pretty cool!
