Hey, what's up, my name is Ryan.

I born and raised in Las Vegas and went to school in Seattle. I currently live in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I originally worked as a photographer, but I now focus on web development and writing. I now work completely remotely, which gives me the flexibility to travel.

If I'm not working, I'm either cooking, reading, watching/playing sports, or hanging out with friends, old and new alike. I'm very easy going and open for anything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first tried Couchsurfing while I was living in Iceland, and had such a fun experience that I wanted to keep going with it! The world is full of interesting things and amazing people, and Couchsurfing is such a great way of seeing a part of that world.

Interests

I'm a huge Seattle sports fan, and I'm active in intramural sports as well (soccer, dodgeball, and jugger!).

Music is very important to me - I used to play in a band in Las Vegas, and I grew up in a very musician-centric home.

When I was in college, I used to teach yoga and meditation work shops. During the summers, I work as a camp counselor for a Vegas organization that throws a summer camp for kids with childhood cancer. It's one of the most important things that I do every year.

I love talking to people and gaining new life perspectives. I'm super open-minded to doing anything!

I went on a 6 month road trip through all of the continental United States and Canada. I covered over 20,000 miles and visited 44 states and 6 provinces.
