About Me

ABOUT ME

Well, it's really hard to select what and what not to write concisely.

I'm a student-teacher having longed to become a teacher since young. While doing my bachelor degree, I've been spending a great deal of time on teaching practice and part-time teaching. It's really rewarding, but at the same time, I've realised I really know little about other stuff other than teaching.

Therefore couch surfing is definitely a great opportunity for me to be immersed myself in different countries, knowing more different cultures, and most importantly, making more friends all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No exp so far. I'm a newbie to couch surfing since 06/2011. I'm currently in Durham (UK) and planning some short trips in the UK, so hoping I can have my first try very soon.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
1. Chinese (both Cantonese used in Hong Kong and Mandarin used in China).

Friends from other countries always find spoken Chinese a bit rude and like singing, why?

When speaking Chinese, we have to stress almost every word, which is so different from English; Chinese has a number of intonations (9 in Cantonese and 4 in Mandarin!)

My friends have found Chinese difficult yet fun to learn. What about you - wanna be the next one to learn?

2. Chinese food
I enjoy cooking much (but not washing dishes!). It's my pleasure to show you how to cook Chinese food.

Often boil/ steam vegetables? Have a try of fried vegetables in Chinese style =)
