My name is Ryan! I am 23 and a recent graduate from Grand Valley State University. I went to school to be a teacher and am currently teaching English and living in Bilbao, Spain. I studied abroad in Rome, Italy in 2013. I love history, sports, traveling, and enjoying a cold beer with friends. My friends have described me as one of my most out going people they have ever met.

I enjoy many different types of music! Being American I love country music! Especially Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line. I also enjoy hip-hop.

Lord of the Rings is my all-time favorite. I also like many of the super hero movies. I enjoy the occasional chick-flick.

Game of Thrones (the first 3 books), Great Gatsby, City of Thieves, The Hunger Games. I also like to read books about warfare, mostly WWII

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the greatest things I have been lucky enough to witness is being in St. Peter's Square to see the newly elected Pope Francis greet the public for his first time.

Going to Oktoberfest with friends was one of the happiest moments of my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My favorite way to explore cities is to literally explore. All I need is a map and some recommendations for sights, museums, and restaurants and I'm set! Therefore, do not expect me to be in the house all day. I do like to go out at night, but am extremely respectful and quiet when I return.
