Hi,

As my profile says i'm 29, from Nottingham and currently working as a TA at Claremont Primary School.

I am also training to become a journalist. I have just completed my Diploma in Journalism & News Writing with the London School of Journalism and will continue with my NCTJ at Brighton Journalist Works, which is based at the local newspaper,The Argus.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't travelled nearly as much as I'd like to. "Lads" holidays to Spain and the Greek islands have never interested me as I like something a little different.

I enjoy just being in a place and experiencing the culture but not necessarily hitting all of the touristy places.

I do like my football (soccer) and would like to experience some of the games, atmosphere's and fan culture of different leagues such as the Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 amongst others.

Unfortunately, I can't host at the moment but wouldn't mind meeting up or just offering advice on travelling in the UK. I have some knowledge of other cities outside of my own,places such as London, Manchester & Liverpool.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite music: My tastes are quite eclectic, rather than listing ALL of my favourite bands and artist i'll just list the next five songs that appear on "shuffle".

Planet Earth, Duran Duran, Stop, Stop, The Black Keys, My Generation, The Who, Harder Than You Think, Public Enemy and I Hear Voices, Kasabian.

Movies: The Wolf of Wall Street was the last good film I saw, also like a variety of different films such as Angela's Ashes, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and 21 Jump Street.

Books: Mainly sports related biographies, Sir Alex Ferguson, Roy Keane, Gary Neville etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have ravelled around the southern United States for three months coaching soccer to 4-16 year old's.

We were based in Memphis but ended up in New Orleans, St.Louis, The Gulf Coast (Biloxi,MS), Lake Dixie Springs, MS, Grenada, MS, Braxton County,WV, Independence,KY.

Loved it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm laid back, I can cook! I'm very respectful and grateful to people who open up their home to me.

I like going out and experiencing new and different things but I'm also comfortable just staying in and relaxing in front of the TV.

I'm a fairly low maintenance house guest.
