About Me
I want to see the world, never end learning.Want to touch the remaining continents... Africa, Australia and Antarctica. To lend anyone a hand that needs help on my way.
Lé me:
I have parents from different countries, was born in a third.. raised all over. I get very strong "Fernweh," a word that translates roughly to "I feel the urge to travel far away really friggin bad" :D I love many people, but once or twice a month I feel the urge to be alone on a mountain ^^. I think that is just normal for the balance. Hope you got a glimpse of me! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In the United States I spend an amazing time couchsurfing at the East coast, moved back to the Westcoast and then finally moved back to Germany! I couchsurfed and hitchhiking through Europe to Turkey and just got back from the caves in Granada - Spain! Can´t wait for my trip to Colombia :D
Interests
Adventures, outdoor stuff, sports, camping, hiking, climbing, hitchhiking, sleeping, movie night, beer and coffee with friends, studying, reading.
Recently I found a huge interest in substainable living, lessening my carbon footprint and permaculture. It started when I read a book for a presentation in one of my classes, I never knew what Permaculture and the like were - probably some radical way of living that means giving up internet, warm showers and coffee, right? ^^ Well I realized that I was so conditioned to the old ways that I kept my mind close to new things. I love the idea of a forest garden, living off grid and still keeping some nice things like coffee machines and internet :P I want to learn how to run a small forest garden, invite others to learn and help. Maybe some day I can live there and grow old :)
If you have a farm, going towards permaculture or even have such forest garden - I´m coming over :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiking from Berlin to Istanbul! (TravelMakers.org)
Almost drowned when I pulled a girl out of the river. When people took her off my hands at the edge that was the best feeling in the world. In another life I´d be driving an ambulance :P Another time I almost lost some toes looking for a lost friend on Mt. Whitney in California.. spent the night trying to decend and find our camp while snow changed the whole landscape. That was super scary and the last drop in the bucket. I started doing things because -I like them-, not just because everbody´s doing them. I shed bad friends and spend time with better people. Life´s been good to me since then :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook tasty food out of scraps, fairly resourceful in the kitchen. I've been told to be entertaining, and the best part is I can stay myself (a dorky nerd - that is ^^)
