About Me
CURRENT MISSION
A mission? I aim for personal development, to be the best person I can be. I'm a great fan of languages and can speak a few words in over a dozen languages, currently only fluent in English and practicing French.
ABOUT ME
An autobiography in three hundred words or less? A challenge! I was brought up in a small farming town for eighteen years then went to University in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Earth. As strange as it may be I like to do everything that I don't like to do. Or more accurately, I like to do things that I would otherwise be hesitant to do. For instance I'm really bad at a lot of things, like sports and knitting and profile writing and making a buffoon of myself in front of an audience BUT these are all things that I can do and are therefore a good reason to get better at them. Who's to stop you from being decent at everything? To be frank, I don't usually go out of my way to try things I'm not terribly confident with, but my arms are made of rubber, I'm quite easily persuaded.

Interests
I really like food, the crazier it sounds, the better. If there's something on a menu I've never tried before, I'll opt for that over something I'm familiar with. An old hobby I had was Magic: The Gathering, a collectable card game by Wizards of the Coast and is still quite popular. I like to go for long hikes and spend time outdoors. I spend a fair bit of time talking with friends on the internet. I have a small interest on world politics although my knowlege of such is small.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book series is The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. I'm a big fan of the science fiction and fantasy genres and have read works by Huxley, Tolkein, Asimov, Herbert, and others.
There are more movies that I enjoy than I could possibly write here. I love old musicals like The Sound of Music and My Fair Lady. I like modern movies like The Matrix and even Dude, Where's My Car?
My appreciation for music may seem a bit ambiguous but I like anything that feels good at the time. From Classical to Death Metal, if it's well made and appropriate, I'll like it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I planted a forest. (to date around 350 000 trees)
