I am a young pastor and longtime courchurfer since back in college. Besides our church events, My wife and I host community events at our home for all the various hosts in the area once a month. Like most of us, I started when I was a broke kid who wanted to travel and could not afford a hotel. I had a great experience and payed it forward, and the rest is history.

Interessen

I love to get people together and create opportunities for people to "Encounter the other". For so much of our lives I feel like we are unintentionally segregated to people who are similar to us. Share similar interests, are of similar socioeconomic statuses. I think it's beautiful when people are able to cross those boundaries and come together.

I am also increasingly interested in the nature of hospitality as it relates to that. Orlando is the hospitality capital of the world and i want to leverage that to make it better.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I'm a huge fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I watch and rewatch all the movies and read many of the comics behind them. I think superheroes are the modern pantheon that our culture uses to tell it's mythic stories.

I'm interested in the Christian Church, what it has been, and what it could be. And I want to hear from and discuss those ideas with people who both come from within the church, and also those who have limited experience, or negative experience with it. All those experiences are valuable and informative for me.

Generally when I am traveling I try to run lean and keep an open mind. I don't have particular expectations of what my host should allow me to share with them, and instead let them direct the evening mostly.
