I'm Ryan, I'm 22 and I love traveling. My favourite country so far has been Japan, but there are lots of others I want to explore too.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just want to use the CS project to help me meet new, exciting people and see the rest of the world. Right now, I'm not in a position to host. However, I hope to be able to host in the future. I believe that staying with local people provides a much better experience than staying in hotels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with a Japanese family in Japan and it was so much better than staying in a hotel. I'd definitely rather stay with a local person.

My favourite books are: Charles Bukowski - Ham on Rye,
Stephen Chbosky - The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Walter Moers - The 13 1/2 lives of Captain Bluebear.

My favourite musician is Tom Waits and my favourite film is Toy Story.

Most spectacular place has got to be either Ha Long bay, Vietnam or Tokyo, Japan.
