ABOUT ME

I am called Ryan, i don't have any nicknames that my friends call me, iv lived most of my life in Zimbabwe. Iv been to a lot of places in in Africa, Europe and Singapore in Asia, i enjoy traveling and seeing different places and different cultures and being adaptable to where i am. I'm open to people of different cultures as long as they are open to me. I try to avoid hostility and when people act on fear rather than just being open. Because i grew up in a country that could be very harsh at times i really value kindness and generosity in people. It's good for me to meet people the more varied the better and share with them a bit of who i am and experience a bit of who they are. I love music, as does 99% of the planet i'm sure, i don't tie myself to one particular style of music but rock n roll in all its forms is particularly special to me, i like to play music, i like to play it live with a band to entertain people. I am also drawn at times to very alternative forms of art. I like to think of myself as an open-minded person but thats from my point of view. There are times i like to be alone in a new place and just people watch, human interaction is fascinating to me. I can be intuitive sometimes and just have a feeling for peoples moods and thoughts, i can be very wrapped up in other people.

I believe its becoming a much more open world and in my opinion people should all get connected and get with the global village and start thinking bigger, start thinking in global terms rather than be fearful of meshing with different cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far i have had one CS experience. It was really amazing for me, i went to Torino with my brother not knowing what to expect to find myself in a crowd of new people who all became new friends. It opened my mind to the power couch surfing has, it can really bring people together across borders and thousands of miles in a way that was not so easily possible before

Music, Movies, and Books

Musically i like anything that makes me feel something, i like to dance but my favorite music is usually made with a drum kit, a bass, two guitars and distortion.
