About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Understand this crazy world and figure out how we can all fit within it

ABOUT ME

I've lived in Northern California basically my entire life but fortunately have been lucky enough to travel a bit whenever I can. I am continually caught between wanting to run around outdoors and loving to bundle up in a blanket fort and read; reading while backpacking is the best compromise I have found.

I'm a pretty simple guy who likes to experience and understand new things. I can get along with most open-minded people, I just need my alone time every once in a while to recharge! (I dont mean to give off sitting bitch face, I'm just introverted and that's how my face looks, i promise! :))

I'm living and working full time in Taiwan until mid-February, so if you're cool and think we'd get along, send me a message!

PHILOSOPHY

Experience comes after an unprecedented first: now is the time to LIVE your life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

always trying to find a balance between hosting and surfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting my first couch surfer basically led to a 3 day tandem bike/nutella/san francisco/belly dancer in nice restaurant fiasco that gave me the best first impression of couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

so i guess this is a little embarrassing, but I really like the movies where you just sit and watch things happen, and don't need to think very much. That's not to say that I don't enjoy a quality film though

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fed a deer by hand in Japan when I was there for a karate tournament? drunkenly ran from zombies through san francisco on halloween?

Teach, Learn, Share

i can teach the shit out of how things bend and get hot (one of the many perks of engineering). haha in all seriousness, this is actually a pretty accurate description of what mechanical engineers study.

I'm also trying to break out of my engineering bubble and learn more about politics and the workings of the world, particularly those regarding poverty actions.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Japan

Countries I’ve Lived In

Bolivia, Nicaragua, Taiwan, United States
