ABOUT ME

Self descriptions, everybody's favorite!I'm currently back in Brooklyn, New York thawing out after 6.5 months living on a scientific research station in Antarctica in 2010/11. It was a cold, harsh continent, so I decided to turn to couch surfing for some warm hospitality! Following that trip, in early 2011 I did a 2.5 month solo SE Asia tour with only a 28L pack, which was fantastic. My favorite word is "Yes" and I try to always say yes to life and open myself to what the Universe brings me. It's an oversimplified philosophy, but seems to be working and has granted me some really great experiences (and some sketchy ones too...) I really fancy good company, good conversation, and good story telling over, say, a good microbrew (my ancestors were brewmasters) or cup of tea. Astrologically, I am of the Leo sign, which I find to be very accurate.

Updated 06/2012 - Back in Brooklyn. I just spent the last 7 months abroad and living in Colombia, teaching English, and learning Spanish.

I'm into seeing, exploring, meeting, learning, sharing, hosting, loving, laughing, listening, and experiencing it with those kindred spirits who also yearn to explore this special place called EARTH!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Largely fantastic! I surfed in Munich, Regensburg, Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, and Morocco and the experiences and hosts were all really great.

Now that I have returned to BK, I am ready to host..

Taking the "Polar Plunge" in Antarctica, and jumping into the coldest waters in the world (-2 degrees C), naked. My bones were cold for 3 days ..
