About Me
Hi! I'm a Northerner who studies history at Oxford. I love taking photos, trying to write music, practising kendo, and obviously travelling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Me and my brother travelled from Manchester to Malta a few years back, and couchsurfing not only saved us on numerous occasions, but it also provided some of my most precious memories.
This is also why I have no references, because we did it on his account :')

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Camped on a giant rock above The Hostile Brothers castles along the Rhine with my brother. Watching the sunset and then waking up to fighter jets passing through the valley was quite an experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can rant about anthropological, and gender centred approaches to historical inquiry for longer than you'd ever want. Or even the fictitious histories of the Song of Ice and Fire (aren't all history books fictional narratives too?)
I know a fair bit about music too - from post-bop Jazz, ambient, math rock, and the Final Fantasy 8 soundtrack, to 70s J-pop. I also play guitar, if you've got one lying around.
I'm always happy to be left alone, but I love a good debate, or a winding conversation, hopefully I can share a good memory or two.
And last but not least, I can DM a D&D session for you if you want.
