About Me

ABOUT ME

I tend to get along best with people who are always down to be active like running around outside, going to a concert, a poetry reading, exploring new places, etc. In other words, I like it when people are positive about trying new things or hanging out instead of dismissive of things outside of their normal mode of operation. I enjoy having serious conversations sometimes, especially about things like music, but I am really a goofy person who likes to joke around a lot. I am not someone who needs to party to be happy, but I really do appreciate crazy nights where things seem to fall into place unexpectedly. Then chill.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel and to meet people with alien ideas of cool.

Interests

I love music in a lot of ways including performing, listening, and dancing. It feels like I can almost always relate to people that have any strong connection to music, regardless of the style. In a broader sense, I am deeply appreciative of people who show passion in regards to creative projects like painting, writing, or whatever it may be. While music is a huge part of my life, I also like to have a balance that keeps my body happy which may include biking, swimming, and hiking depending on where I am. I had a job in the Florida Keys one summer and I don't think I have ever been happier than being outside swimming all day.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most attuned to Animal Collective, James Blake, and Andy Stott right now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Seeing my friend and amazing musician Zach Alterman perform using a very interactive instrument set-up that he designed including an electric ukulele that responds to your touch and drum sticks that feel your squeezes. It was beautiful.

2. This kind of thing has happened in several locations. I am slightly cold and tired and I come to a breathtaking view, usually involving water. A strong wind hits and it is uncomfortably chilly, but in the exhilarating way of jumping into the ocean. Being in a vulnerable state in the face of the visual beauty and physical exhilaration. The chills & powerful thoughts.
