Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn. Make. Repeat.
ABOUT ME
Mainly I study architecture and I run. Sometimes I run to architecture, sometimes I design runs.
I was born abroad, and spent my very early childhood between Hong Kong, India, and Egypt. I have lived in the United States for the majority of my life (in Northern California, Washington State, and New York City).
I like to make things: I love the experience of realizing imagination. If you want to quickly get a sense of the kind of person I am, check out my website HERE!
I want to see the world and learn as much as I can--I want to meet new people and see new things. Hopefully I can better my understanding of the world, and in turn the things that I bring to it.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophies are always changing as I get older. I like to keep an open mind, to appreciate life and to do whatever I can to make it better, for myself and the for world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Spent 133 days in Europe couchsurfing in different towns, sometimes with people I met through the website, but mostly with people I met in the street. The world is filled with couchsurfers! Too many of them just don't know this website exists...
Interests
Apart from architecture/design/running, I'm interested in learning anything I can about the world:
I am interested in hearing your story and whatever you can tell me about your culture and where you live.
- culture
- architecture
- design
- running
- modeling
- electronics
- woodworking
Music, Movies, and Books
My music preferences are pretty varied...I think I could name a genre or band that I like for every letter of the alphabet several times over...but I won't bother. Chances are, I'll listen to it with open ears.
To name a few movies: Amelie, The Life Aquatic, MST3K, Waking Life, Koyaanisqatsi, The Professional, Being John Malkovich, La Vita E Bella, Braveheart...
And some books too: The Picture of Dorian Gray, Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Slaughterhouse 5, Fairy Tales of Oscar Wilde, Brave New World...and yes, I have read The Fountainhead.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ran 2,542 miles from Amsterdam to Athens with a small pack and the help of so many great hosts:

Teach, Learn, Share
I like making things, and am a student of Architecture. If you need to pick up some skills in any design related programs (Adobe Creative Suite, Autocad, 3D modeling, Processing, HTML, Flash, etc) or fabrication techniques (digital fabrication, casting, woodworking, electronics, etc), I love working with that stuff and would be pretty excited to help you out.
