About Me
Currently in CANADA
*************************
I am a polyglot who travels for language and cultural immersion. I am fluent in 4 (Spanish, English, Tagalog, Japanese). By the age of 30, I wish to be fluent in at least 7 languages, though I might learn more as I am deeply passionate in foreign languages. Recently, I've been trying to squeeze in an hour of Korean learning every evening.
Teaching English and Spanish is what I do for a living, and I am a Spanish language consultant for a multinational company, where I provide interpretation and knowledge transfer services that require Spanish as the medium of communication. I am also a writer, so I frequent coffee and tea shops where I can write peacefully. Otherwise, a splendid view of the mountains should suffice.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting local people and travelers alike is probably the most satisfying and enriching experience any traveler could wish for. As a language learner, speaking my target language with local people would greatly improve my fluency.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wearing a "kurta" (traditional Indian clothing for men), a flowing red scarf, and a northern Indian necklace while exploring Taj Mahal, then being complimented by Indian locals for appearing like a "maharaj" (lit., great king), and finally ending my fabulous day with some "chaat" (street food consisting of sweet potatoes and tamarind sauce).
