About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get up to enough memorable shenanigans to have 20 years worth of story telling for my future co-code monkeys.

ABOUT ME

If there's one thing i love it'd have to be surprises. I love a great many other things of course, but there's nothing that beats a good surprise!

Since leaving school a few years ago, i've finally started to developed an understanding of what it means to have a love of education. Playing around throughout my lessons i never truly appreciated school, but having matured a wee bit since then i have now the opportunity to make the world my classroom! And because of that, and especially since i began travelling, meeting new people has become greatly rewarding for me, giving me a chance to experience and gain insights into things i'd previously disregarded or had never know about at all!

I think i have to admit that i'm pretty terrible at making itineraries, seriously. I feel much more comfortable just going with the flow - travelling without dates, times and schedules. Oh, and i suppose that a last thing to mention would be that i'm a bit of a rambler.

PHILOSOPHY

I think i'm a bit too inexperienced to try and write something profound so i'll just say, " enjoy yourself!". Simple as pie!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Really, really rewarding!

Interests

I love live music! Gigs, festivals, jamming sessions, anything, it's all really positive energy. If having to be specific though i'd say that ska/punk events are one of my favourite genres to see live, the atmosphere is always so visceral and lively! Not to mention, i love raves and silent discos, anything to do with music really!

Anything outdoors. I love taking a ramble throughout parks and the bush. I'm pretty good at having a relaxing daydreaming session afterward as well.

I love the trill of being in an entirely new place, meeting someone who you've never spoke to before and to be in a culture you're unfamiliar with - all things that give you that feeling of positive anxiety, like the night you pack before leaving on an adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is a bit scattered so i thought that rather than trying to classify my preferences i'll just write out a few songs i dig at the moment:
I Sing I Swim - Seabear
Nothing Owned - Bonobo
I've Got a Feeling - The Beatles
Warface (Distorted Minds Remix) - Jakes
Don't Wait Too Long - Madeleine Peyroux
Drivin' On 9 - The Breeders

As for films and books, since travelling i've pretty much read and watched only the things that were available at the time. But for favourite books i'd go with:
H.M.S Unseen - Patrick Robinson
The Day of the Jackal - Fred Forsyth
The Gathering Storm - Winston Churchill
Fear and Loathing in Las Vagas - Hunter S. Thompson

And for films:
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Mind Game
There Will be Blood
Fight Club
Into the Wild
(Donnie Darko)
