About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to "conocer" all of Latin America... and after, the world!
ABOUT ME
Graduated from UC Berkeley in 2012 and have been on the run ever since! In other words, I decided the corporate lifestyle wasn't for me, bought a ticket to Ecuador and have been living in Latin America and the states for really about 4 years now. Lived in Colombia for over a year, y era una chimba. I don't regret these wayward years of traveling as I've had some crazy ups and downs but they make for good stories. Know one can deny the power of good stories, except those that have better ones.
I'm currently in Mendoza, Argentina teaching English at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo through the US international exchange program known as the Fulbright.
I'll probably be going to law school next fall so I'm trying to travel as much as possible before the deep, dark plunge that is 3 years of law.
PHILOSOPHY
Learn and challenge yourself. Be real son!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've used couchsurfers only a few times but the experiences have always been positive. I've meet some really interesting people using couchsurfers and moreover am a big supporter of the idea--who really isn't?
Interests
Sports, traveling, guitar, reading, learning, cervezas and coffee of course. However, I once tried mixing cerveza and coffee--I was convinced of my genius until I tried the concoction.
- coffee
- reading
- traveling
- socializing
- guitar
- sports
Music, Movies, and Books
Anything that is good--i.e. has artistic value. However, I enjoy the blues, folk, rock and roll, hip hop (be it good hip hop!) etc as far as music goes.
Books- Cien anos de soledad, Frankenstein, Mark Twain, Nietzsche, biographies, Will Durant, I just rounded those off in 30 seconds and really could keep going and going and going.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Snowboarded the Andes, sand boarded in San Pedro Attacama, got stranded on the Bolivian border, scaled the Volcano Mombacho in Nicargua, ran with the bulls in Granda, got robbed multiple times in Colombia, lived with a Peruvian family on their finca for three weeks in the countryside, walked 100 miles in 5 days in the Scottish country-side, etc.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm an open person and I like people who are the same. I like to talk about almost anything under the sun and always try to be considerate.
