About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel South America

ABOUT ME

I am currently living in Buenos Aires Argentina. I practiced social work in New York for 4 years before moving here. Here, I do freelancing online and volunteering at community organizations. I have traveled in the US (up and down East Coast + West Coast, and one cross-country drive through MidWest), and internationally to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Japan, France, Spain, Costa Rica, Peru, Uruguay, and a lot of Argentina.

Hablo castellano y estaría re contenta hablar con vos!

PHILOSOPHY

To live a life of dignity and grace (which includes love and adventure too)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to stay with a few people and possibly host a few too in Buenos Aires!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Vietnam with my partner, Tim, where we met a sweet family, and a kid who taught himself English by watching movies. I am hoping to do more couchsurfing here in South America.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read novels and short stories when I have time.

I really like cheesy 80s movies (Adventures in Babysitting, Breakfast Club) but I also love Freaks and Geeks. Some favorite movies are Amelie & Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

LOVE music, especially live shows. I am open to seeing bands I haven't seen or heard of before as long as they have a good tune going-- indie rock, experimental (to a point), some noise is cool, psychedelic, blues, some jazz, folklorico, and people who harmonize are cool too (I used to do a cappella but I prefer to listen to voices AND instruments)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Northern Ireland I caved (they call it caving there, but Americans say spelunking), which was wild.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've learned that we can only control what we do, and we're powerless over other people and events. The biggest lesson that I am constantly relearning is to let go and accept what is.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and bake, I can bake you something tasty or cook you a dinner.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, England, France, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam
