About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To try everything once, because it's the experiences that last the rest of your life
ABOUT ME
I always look at the bright side of things and see setbacks or obstacles as new opportunities. Things I really enjoy are a big bowl of ice cream, hugs, and laughter. I have worked at a Boy Scout summer camp for four summers, with developmentally challenged youth,as a rock climbing instructor, and as a nude model for art classes. I have been forming a career in adventure ed. or experiential ed., with adventure wilderness trips and using ropes courses and climbing walls to develop young and old alike. I currently manage a ropes course program at UCI Campus Recreation.
PHILOSOPHY
To accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things, and the knowledge to know the difference. To not live vicariously, and help others along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I still find many people in my realm of friends who are unfamiliar with couchsurfing, and I love sharing the information and stories from it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
First time in Oregon - someone canceled and found another host last minute.
In Puerto Rico - Awesome, host was spectacular and went to a salsa celebration with him.
In Buffalo New York, Awesome again, good trend showing.
Denver, CO for a conference, got to party with great hosts for Halloween!
Interests
I'm a passive music lover (I enjoy whatever I'm listening to in any context but I don't own any music). I will play any pick-up game of almost any sport and play better than average (my opinion). Runner and rock climber. Underwater basket weaving is on my radar.

Music, Movies, and Books
1984-best read of my life
Louis L'amour
Stephen Ambrose
Thoreau and Muir
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The ongoing experiences I have dealing with kids and seeing their personal growth into a responsible and independent youth....And the National Parks of our country...amazing
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to continue my learning even after college, reading many non-fiction books. I work in youth development and am comfortable in front of crowds of youth. I want to learn more about cooking, something everyone does everyday (at least they should). I can share my beginning knowledge of beat boxing and share stories of all types, and would hope you do the same.
