About Me
Hi! I'm Ryan! Currently living and working and learning the land at Hawaiian Sanctuary in Pahoa, on the Hilo side of the big island! Looking to explore another spot for a bit, Maui or Kona side, for about another month before heading home. Would love the local wisdom from the couchsurfers who know their home best :) I'm friendly, considerate, practice gratitude constantly. Addicted to growth, and spreading good vibes ~ I love adventure, new experiences, food, and conversation. So happy to contribute positivity and food to anyone gracious enough to host me!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While I like seeing the major sites when I'm traveling, to me, there is so much more to learn from connections with the locals. I want to learn about the culture I'm in from the people who know it best, and to share an experience with a new friend.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm pretty open on music, but I love dancing, so anything with a beat that drives me is perfect. Books; Huxley, Watts, Roberts... I like reading books that stretch my mind, and then reading fiction to explore the realm of creativity to balance it out
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I like to light things on fire and spin them around my body. I've been lucky enough to share this with many people in many places. Seen new earth be born, swam with turtles, jumped out of planes, sailed around the world... ahh! Lived in other countries, shared meals and homes with local families. Survived more than a couple close calls with with stories to share for it! Blessed :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach yoga and acro, I can also teach poi spinning and share all the above!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm always open to learning, talking about the culture and history of my host, as well as sharing from my adventures and history. I love to cook for my hosts if they are open to me using the kitchen, I feel that food is such an important aspect of community!
