About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get on with enjoying the time I have whilst I have the time.
ABOUT ME
I spend most of my time sitting around and composing music ranging from electronica to progressive metal. At other times I'll play guitar or have a bash on Luke's drums. There isn't that much to do around where we are other than drink all night and sleep all day (when we're at Uni). If there's lectures to go to, I study Music Technology and Popular Music and split my time between studio work, composing and going to the Students Union. Other than all that, you can find me at a local bar in Huddersfield which is our home away from home, Bar 1:22, where live music, comedy, dubstep nights all take place, amongst other things.
PHILOSOPHY
If it's good for you and others, it's usually good for me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
New to it all at the moment. A friend of ours is an avid couch surfer and from his wisdom he has guided us this way.
Interests
Music, writing music, going to gigs and festivals, experiencing new cultures, chilling like it's Sunday, adventuring in the countryside, finding 'special places' to sit or paddle, rock climbing, bike riding, pretending to be a skateboarder, snowboarding when I have the option, poetry, open mic nights, comedy, philosophical discussions, religion though I'm not religious, history, architecture, art, exploring new places and travelling, being under-prepared for big changes.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Man In The High Castle. His Dark Materials. I Am Legend. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime.
AFI, At the Drive In, Meshuggah, Mastodon, Aphex Twin, Venetian Snares, Goldie Lookin Chain, Black Sabbath, Chimaira, CKY, Incubus, Justice, Rage Against The Machine, The Mars Volta, Dream Theater and all inbetween.
Film wise, aliens and explosions usually satisfy me, but historical and political films go down a storm as well. Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus...you get the jist...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing Rage Against The Machine at Rock Am Ring 2008. Best moment of my life so far and was totally worth the shit getting kicked out of me for, and getting that piece of plastic wedged underneath my big toenail. 50,000 people all going apeshit to my favourite band.

Huddersfield:
Stuff to do:
Bar 1:22 - the best place in Huddersfield. Open and chilled every night it's open, friendliest place in town frequented by local CouchSurfers. Music, poetry, spoken word, open mic nights, dubstep, d n b, acoustic sessions you name it they've got it.
Tokyo: Probably the most famous club in Huddersfield, in a Grade II listed courthouse, making it nice to look at though can be expensive and crowded.
Camel: Another popular club, Friday night is rock night whilst the rest of the week it can range from pop to electronica.
Varsity: Restaurant and club, most people go there in the day for something to eat (hot chicken buckets) and watch football on the big screen.
Warehouse: Always 10pm in warehouse as it's so dark. Good for a cheap-ish night out.
Eating:
There aren't very many independent restaurants compared to franchises but it's all good.
Nando's, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Subway (x5), Greggs (x5) Fenay Bridge 2 4 1,.
Most of Huddersfield runs on a takeaway diet which means we're inundated with kebab shops and variations of KFC, of which there are about 5 of anyway.
Activities:
Aside from drinking, here is a few things you can do in Huddersfield:
Walk/Drive up to Castle Hill for a great view and chilling times.
Visit the Library and Art Gallery to see local artwork on display.
Feed the pigeons.
Go to Greenhead Park (in the day though as night time is probably a bad idea.) There are paths and benches, swings and a skatepark plus a tiny railway.
Drive up to Holmfirth for more Pennine-esque views and scenery.
Visit Storthes Hall Student Village in Kirkburton; no doubt you could find your way into a party or sleep in the woods nearby which are haunted with ghosts from the old mental asylum.
