About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get involved in every way possible with the new vibrant culture of Uppsala and taking full advantage of my time studying there.
ABOUT ME
An eccentric Brit. I've got family all round the world who I try to stay in touch with, in Melbourne Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Baltimore, USA. I moved around a lot as a kid, but only in England. Most of my travels tend to be 'working holidays' where I find you can get more involved in the place that you're staying (especially if you're trying to learn the language!). I've been to Egypt, Cyprus, and Spain, and I've worked in France, Italy, and currently study in Sweden. My dad works in Jakarta for Greenpeace (another future destination hopefully), and my mum runs a nursing home in Birmingham, UK. I am very open-minded, perceptive, talkative and intellectual, and I try my best to listen to the stories of others and keep learning - I like to live life to the full in a rich and conscientious way and make the best of every moment. Some of my friends would probably say I'm a pretty deep but entertaining guy, but I'm not sure about that ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can easily volunteer my couch here in Uppsala University. I would very happily welcome travellers from all-over into my student flat. I can cook pretty well, with big French, Italian, and traditional English influences and I could probably get a tour of the town and university together for those who are interested. I have a lease until August this year but this could be extended depending on what I'm doing next semester.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have stayed in Maastricht, Holland for two days whilst going to a Masters open day there. My host was very kind and generous. This was my first couch-surfing experience and my feedback is only excellent for Chiel van der Voort.
Interests
The people I meet, and the conversations I have that I would have never expected. I love being surprised and listening to great and funny stories from all sorts of people, even if I don't understand the language they're speaking!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Running up a mountain in the middle of lake Kastoria, Greece, to find a hidden amphitheatre overlooking the plateau and mountain-chain of West Macedonia - then going for an ice-cold beer at the bar on the top; truly awe-inspiring.
