CURRENT MISSION

Off to Prague 28 July and Paris 16 Aug! Have accomodation in Prague, need to sort something out for myself and a friend in Paris!

ABOUT ME

I love music, just toured South Africa with a great little folk band called "Vana and The Oh So Serious".. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Vana/28499296966. Play double bass and jazz and classical guitar. Love good food and can easily go without meat. I drink .. cant see why not, but sometimes I go without drinking a drop for a month! I smoke occasionally.

I like to go visit museums and galleries...go to see gigs, watching films, reading. Busy reading Stephane Grappelli's biography by Geoffry Smith.

I do not watch sports or play sports really although I try to go for a run at least three times a week and cycle when I get the opportunity and I will climb a mountain or a tree and cross a river if I have to!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only surfed couches but I can now also host! If you want to come to Pretoria, please feel welcome! I can accomodate only one person though.. I can show you the city and you could perhaps come to one of my gigs :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed Trevor Stoddart's couch (actually he had a guest room available) just outside a tiny village in western Ireland. It was a fantastic experience! It involved everything from using a compost toilet to swimming in the ocean with a wild dolphin, excellent food and company.. Also stayed with Lucia Cupkova in Ireland.. All was great and I cant wait to surf or host anytime soon!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think one of the most amazing things was seeing Brazillian musician Hermeto Pascoal with his group in South Africa..

Most amazing thing done yet..I will have to think a bit about the answer.

Lets see..I'm an absolute listener and a fanatical sharer of good music. I do also play, but in that case I am not always so sure of how good the music is! However, you might be able to learn a thing or two about guitar playing from me, just as I might learn a thing or two about something else from you.
