Hey! My name is Ryoma. I'm currently 25 years old. I was born in Osaka, grew up moving around the Kanto prefecture.

For one year in 2022, I traveled to Europe and America through Workaway. Currently, I move in an area called Fujino in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Fujino is a town famous for art. Although it is deep in the mountains and rich in nature, it is easily accessible from Tokyo, about an hour by train. Festivals and various communities are thriving.
In Japan, the problem of abandoned houses due to the declining birthrate and aging population has become a major issue, and there are also many abandoned houses in the hilly and mountainous areas of Sagamihara City. To that end, we will begin activities in this area as a community revitalization cooperation team from October. I think our main focus will be on vacant house surveys and renovations.

I'm currently learning a lot of things because I want to create a rural community for people living in the city in the future. In particular, I am learning about DIY and agriculture. I'm building a mobile house next summer to travel around Japan to study communities and gain DIY skills. A mobile house is a small house that can be placed on the back of a light truck. You can sleep inside like a camper. I am currently working on this mobile house production by myself and need help. If you are interested.
I also have a field next to my house, and I need some help. There are other things like household tasks, but I'll teach you about them even if you don't have any knowledge about them, so I hope you can enjoy life together.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a day trip from Switzerland to Liechtenstein with 10 times hitchhiking and walking 33km. I met a lot of nice local people when I hitched hiking. Some people who gave me a ride, offered me to go hiking together and it was on the way to Liechtenstein. So I joined them before I visited Liechtenstein! I really love this kind of flexible trip! lol
