To travel around the South Island of New Zealand and hopefully meet some incredible people who can recommend good hiking spots!

ABOUT ME
I'm an American living in New Zealand since 2015 and I have never done the big road trip so I figured why not now? Also I became redundant and have a lot of time on my hands now.

I really like learning things and working with my hands, so I make stained glass and currently I'm working on a bunch of wands for a Harry Potter drag show. I am also learning to keep bees (but I don't have any right now), so feel free to ask me about bees if you want to learn about them or just hear me talk about them emphatically for a half hour.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't had the chance to participate much since I've been mostly stationary for a long time but I am keen to get into it again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only couchsurfed officially one time but I've stayed on my fair share of friends and acquaintances couches over the years and I am very good at doing the dishes and cleaning up.
