Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are two main reasons I joined Couchsurfing: (1) I find that the best way to explore new places is by meeting new people. Getting to know a new culture should include personal interaction with people who live it everyday--I want to be part of that exchange. (2) I'm a grad student and don't have a lot of money these days. The idea that people are helping people experience the world in a way that doesn't break the bank is awesome.
