I just quit my job to travel full time! I've spent my whole life in my hometown and my soul is demanding new sights and adventures.

I love spending time outside moving under my own power: on foot or on a bicycle. I'm a self-taught vegan cook who loves to cook for others and share the wonders of plant-based food. I'm always seeking to learn and become a better, more conscientious person day to day. I've recently become passionate about meditating, but also enjoy reading, writing, volunteering and generally being involved in the community.

I've always been a little shy/reserved, but I'm a great listener and I'm learning to come out of my shell and face my fears head on. In addition to focusing on travel at this time in my life, I'm also focused on self-improvement, achieving peace of mind and an abundance of joy.

I'm not typically into going out to bars, late nights or heavy drinking, but if there's a great band playing I'll be there. I want to meet fellow travelers and hear about your experiences and passions; what brings you peace and joy, and how you have overcome the obstacles of life.

Music: LIVE music. I love music and used to collect records, but lately I place more value on seeing musicians perform live, the more intimate the venue the better.

Movies: Thought provoking, original and low-budget, but I don't mind watching mindless entertainment either. Also love anything by Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Coen Brothers, Sergio Leone.

Books: History/non-fiction, philosophy, novels. I'm always reading something and trying to expand my mind. Particularly like stuff of a radical, non-conformist bent, with a focus on social justice, animal rights etc.

Helped run a non-profit bike shop. We provide free bikes to low-income and people experiencing homelessness who lack transportation in exchange for community service. We also offer free and heavily discounted repairs to those who uses their bike as primary transportation, a public workstation so people can fix their own bike, teach mechanics classes to anyone who wants to learn, and host a weekly social ride that explores our surrounding community.

Teach: I love to teach people about veganism and plant-based eating/nutrition. My hummus recipe will amaze you, not to mention my soon to be world famous home made granola bars. I can also teach you how to repair your own bicycle and maybe a thing or two about bicycle commuting as a way of life.

Learn: Teach me about your city, what makes it special and what you love about it. Teach me your favorite vegan recipes! Teach me how to dance! Teach me Spanish. Teach me how to survive in the wilderness, how to start a fire, how to forage, how to backpack for days on end.

Share: Whatever food I have. My favorite parts about Birmingham. A bike to ride.
