About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy life and share that joy with the ones around me.

ABOUT ME

I like to think of myself as an open minded, liberal, and easy going guy. I adapt easily to my surroundings. I'm a pretty positive person who likes to enjoy everything life has to offer! These past couple of years I have been learning a lot about myself and I am now ready to take life by the horns. I'm an ambitious musician with big goals. Music speaks to my soul like no other thing does. I'm also intrigued by the complexity and beauty of life. I love the outdoors and enjoy spending time out in nature whenever possible.

I was born and raised in central Mexico but I have lived in the U.S. since I was 14. I have traveled a fair amount (mostly in Europe) and I can't get enough of it. I love learning about new cultures and traditions. Call me an optimist if you will but if there is one thing I have learned from my travels it's that there are still plenty of sincerely good-hearted people out there capable of leaving this world a little better than we encountered it; couchsurfing is a testament to that.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and help live!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS a few years ago and I think it's a wonderful project. I love traveling and meeting fellow travelers. I'm currently saving money for my next big adventure but until then I would like to bring the adventure home.

Though I'm not as active as many other members are, I have thoroughly enjoyed every CS experience I've had, both as a host and a surfer. I have surfed in New York City, San Francisco, and Switzerland, and have hosted a handful of awesome people from all over the world. I hope to be more active this year and help introduce more people to our super kick-ass community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My most memorable experience as a host was hosting a fellow traveler from Botswana who had never heard of CS before. It was his first time out of Africa and he arrived to Flagstaff with very little money and no place to stay. He came to the place where I worked to ask for information about cheap campgrounds in the area. I introduced him to couchsurfing and invited him over to my place. He had a very intriguing collection of stories, including an old photograph of him and Bob Marley in Zimbabwe. We became good friends and he ended up staying for a week. Needless to say, this was an experience which I'll never forget about.
