About Me
If you ever want to (re)affirm your faith in the human race, hit the road! (Graham Hughes, traveller)
For one year I was cycling from my hometown in Germany to Thailand for about 16,000km. Now I am happy to be back home and invite people from all over the world to my cozy new flat.
At first I might act a little bit reserved like a typical german stereotype but if you get to know me better I can assure you a good time with a lot of bad jokes.
Or maybe I´m just a scary naked man sitting in front of his computer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It´s all about the people. Getting a glimpse of the everyday life of a total stranger who will eventually become your friend, getting to know a different way of life or getting to see things from a different angle - all these things make Couchsurfing so unique and indispensable.
Interests
I´m interested in Sports, the environment, other cultures and travelling. Especially travelling on my own strength like hiking or cycling.
I´m interested in listening to big lunatic dreams of other people. I like it when they are convinced that they will make it no matter how crazy their idea is.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music you can listen to with your ears, movies you can watch with your eyes, and books you can read with your mind. All these things I like.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Surviving. During my travels I take a lot of stupid decisions which bring me constantly into high danger, but with a bit of skills and a lot of luck I survived it every time. E.g. Running out of water several times on hiking trips far away from civilization, getting almost swept away on the Australian shore, getting lost in approximately every forest I´ve ever been to, getting frost bites on mountain passes, getting hit by cars on my bicycle and so on...
Teach, Learn, Share
Every Couchsurfer I´ve ever met had a direct influence on my life. Just by talking and sharing different opinions and world views your cultural spectrum expands whereas national stereotypes vanish.
