Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Pretty new to this, though I've been hearing about it a lot and for a while. It's exciting that a lot of people are interested in traveling this way!

Interests

I make books, etchings, woodcuts and and and. I read about mythical characters and make up new stories about them. I like to question power dynamics, lean toward radical ideas & political thought. I ride a bike to get to the places I want to go. I like going to shows, especially when they're free, and especially when they're loud and the musicians are especially good at yelling and hitting things, and especially when the musicians are my friends. I'm an amateur reader of tarot, dumpster diver, and someday gardener. I like staying up late, and talking about books, and and and. !!

Music, Movies, and Books

PJ harvey, Kate Bush, Ashborer, Alpinist, Drudkh. Autobiography of Red by Anne Carson and Moby Dick are my favorite books. I kind of don't like watching movies very much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day last summer me & a new friend plunked a canoe into the Mississippi. We started by Pike island, but didn't look at a map. We canoed through the cities and looked at them from the river. We were tiny next to barges. On the far side of Saint Paul, we tried to climb ashore amid industrial no-man's land. The sun started to go down! We laughed nervously and kept paddling! Then we got to the South Saint Paul train yard. We dragged the canoe into the bushes and climbed through the thistles and asters and watched trains and convinced our friends to come get us and bring us home. The Mississippi!
