ABOUT ME
I like to cultivate worlds, play guitar and dulcimer; create medicines made from plants. I am very keen on juicing, bicycling around the city and into the countryside. I also experiment with building furniture and working with textiles. Puzzleworking.
I'm a bit of a writer, painter, photographer, seamstress mechanic scientist. I live between Far Rockaway and Brooklyn, more often, one will find me on Rockaway. A steady collection of shells are mounting.
I like the scent of early morning and dusk better than other hours. I like sound associations with place; like that of an old 78 of Clair de Lune in California.
PHILOSOPHY
I touch and smell what i question or think twice about.
Longstanding habits are difficult to supple.
Beauty is what the Holy eats.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I travel with odds and ends like thread, mortar & pestle, old Japanese fabric,a Walker knife, a shovel & hoe, a milk crate of books, a friend who plays music with me and a good amount of ideas about all the things I've seen, done and dreamed so far. I like to share with those who host in ways that we can't anticipate.
I haven't hosted in quite some time due to constant travel, but I look forward to a time when I have space to offer that I would hope to morph into some form of a folklore home where "All Dwell Free."
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Exposure to:
Books I have never read , city streets I would have never stumbled upon, rooftops I will never see again, revolutionary minds who farm, paint, write, photograph, play music and heal; people who live freely and thoughtfully.
Couchsurfing has the nature of linking kindred spirits globally. I tend to like this type of thing.
Interests
flower petals as natural light filters. biking. writing. plucking strings. sewing barns. cosmic revelation. film. painting. playing with time. rope walkers. empty structures. my childhood time spent in a graveyard. drying herbs. brewing tea. baking. beets. oxen. singing. swimming. walking no where and finding everything.

Twenty minutes in the Mojave Desert in early May. Pastel lilac blossoms, salmon blossoms, blossoms the colour of the sky, the arid scent of sage; brilliant isolation.
Teach, Learn, Share
Whatever is in the van I will share. I'll teach you how to bake an apple tart in the case you haven't already found your own recipe. I'm interested in learning more about plants, painting and film photography/video and instruments (playing&constructing).
