ABOUT ME
I'm half Australian half British, lived most of my life in Britain but always support Australia!
From leaving school I worked full time until the end of 2009, doing bits of travelling in my holidays (often to/from Australia seeing family).
2010 was the year of exploring for me - I was lucky to be able to spend some time in many countries and meet superb people all over the world.
I was ready to do some work again (I had to stop spending money) but didn't want to stop travelling so I managed to convince a company to give me a job for the winter.
So there I was off to a cold and dark Lapland for 6 weeks - that led me to being in Austria until April and now working as a Rep on the shores of Lake Constance (Bodensee)
Some highlights of my 2010 - skiing in Japan, going to some world cup games, volunteering, doing a 216m bungy, doing some off road driving in oman, hiking in Lesotho, safaris in kruger, sailing in new zealand, drinking at oktoberfest, working for santa and meeting a ton of great people!
PHILOSOPHY
A couple of quotes from Thomas Edison, a man who kept trying:
I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.
We don't know a millionth of one percent about anything
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offered my sofa bed to host people for over a year and not one person asked to stay :(
On the plus side, I've surfed with some awesome people.

No, really - I am interested in most things, but not a lot of good at them:
Surfing (on a couch or on water, although I'm better on a couch!)
Anything in the sea (as long as there's a lifeguard nearby)
Skiing
Bungy jumping (I done it only once but loved it)
Walking
Hiking
Running (slowly!)
Climbing

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a real slow reader (3-4 books a year).
Just read the Viking trilogy by Tim Severin, which was a really good read and has partly inspired my upcoming trip to Scandinavia. My favourite book of all time is Paranoia by Joseph Finder.
Movies - Loving animation films (Lion King ++), also thought Inglourious Basterds was really good. In Bruges is brilliant and then the classics like forest gump and goodfellas! One of the best British films in my opinion is The Parole Officer!
Music - liking most types of music, prefer it when you can actually hear the words though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
when i was of primary school age i put a nail in my head (by accident)
Whilst volunteering in South Africa, I got to take a cheetah into a school of mostly orphaned children and help with a conservation presentation
