ABOUT ME

Hey! Profile visitors are requested to drop a line! It feels weird seeing the numbers adding without knowing the visitors! he he!

Interest: Knowing cultures
Profession: Sociologist (research, consultancy and teaching)
Hobby: knowing people, Photography, travel
Passion: Music, reading and visual arts
The kind of person I am: Positive to life, encouraging, engaging and with a square interest in most things on earth. Well, that take me to diversion often, but in life such diversion often proves worthy too!
As Host: You can consider me a fine host, with a sensibility to respect the culture and preference of the guest, and supplemented by a fine taste.
As guest: Inobtrusive, yet alive. Won't regret hosting me.

PHILOSOPHY

Moments are precious. Moments build life. Life is worth living, and it is lived in the present. All past moments are frozen in memories. But Memories come back... er... they are brought back, re-created... relived. So, make this moment great, for the present, and for all the pasts... since all the future lie in those past, frozen moments... memories... the diamonds and rusts we gather...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I do surf the site regularly. Actively attempt to host people. Whenever I go out, I check if I can find a couch through the site. And willing to participate more. I like this concept, and spread the news around through word of mouth.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I often wondered if I would like to share my true experiences on this site!!!! or I would rather rephrase it - would others like to hear it?

Interests

I listed them above.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived death! Survived living in two metropolitan cities! Survived everyday newspaper! Survived the internet revolution! Oh, are not those enough!

Teach, Learn, Share

Exchanging culture is the greatest exchange possible.
At skill level, I can teach few Indian Laguages (please refer to the languages known section), culture, folklores, mythologies and artforms of vast Indian variations, quantitative analysis, Computer related proficiencies, Photography (all technical aspects). Well, I am more interested in exchanging views on various research topics in sociology, policy, history... all of social sciences. Exchanges with me helped many researchers in the universities around, and I am equally helped by such exchanges.

Countries I’ve Visited

Colombia, Germany, Peru, Philippines, Slovenia
