About Me
Hello everyone!
My name is Shirley Wong, and I recently joined couchsurfing from a suggestion by one of my friends. I am still fairly new with this, but I hope to frequently use this site when I do embark on my travel adventures!
I am currently a post-secondary student working towards my BSc. Kinesiology, where I find lots of interest and passion in exercise, sports, and rehabilitation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since finances are a big issue for me as I am currently still in school, travelling is only a dream! I want to minimize costs, and learn more about cost efficient ways to travel, so that I can explore the world and enjoy it, so I'm hoping that this site and people I meet will help assist me along the way. :)
Interests
I love exploring, hiking, sports, working out, travelling to new locations (even if it's like 10 minutes from where I live but I've never been to it). I am a very easy-going person with a lot of enjoyment in the small things in life.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to any kind of music. I love all sorts of movies too (but I secretly love despicable me and minions). Books I am actually very open to, as it is the true source of knowledge and growth!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went backpacking on an expedition with Cadets Canada along the Bruce Peninsula around Tobermory, Ontario, Canada. It was extremely daunting because of the 200km total biking and I am a very weak biker. This really taught me how I can push my limits beyond my own expectations as long as I am mentally persevering through the obstacle.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn from others the art of travelling (forreals). From any tips and pointers, to amazing stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've never been on a plane or travelled outside of Ontario until May 2015, so I'm very wanderlust and all I can really share is my experiences with Cadets Canada.
