PHILOSOPHY
The way I see it, none of us have ever done this before, so try not to be too hard on yourself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I moved to Reykjavík, Iceland two years ago and currently find myself in a living situation which is not appropriate to house surfers, unfortunately. But I would love to meet you for a coffee or a drink so feel free to reach out!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I studied abroad in England for a year. While I was there I traveled around Europe and couch surfed where possible. I would also meet up with those who passed through the city I was living in.
More recently I have couchsurfed in Belfast, N. Ireland and Akureyri, Iceland.
Interests
I studied acting so anything in the performing arts/film is exciting to me. You'll often hear me bursting into song, or speaking in the strangest voices/accents. I really like talking to people about almost anything, especially over coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books
BOOKS:
A Global Brain by Howard Bloom, Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
My favourite poem is Howl by Allen Ginsberg.
MUSIC:
I started with punk and post-hardcore at an early age, and later fell in love with electronic music. I also really love jazz, R&B, and hip hop. I might also have some playlists full of belting divas like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston that I listen to fairly regularly ;)
Right now I'm listening to a lot of Lauryn Hill, Sarah Vaughn, Amy Winehouse, and (oddly)Circa Survive and a lot of post-classical like Ólafur Arnolds, Max Richter, and Nils Frahm. In electronic I've been into Maceo Plex, Mano Le Tough, Kiasmos, and Thugfucker.
I often use music festivals as a reason to travel to a given city/country. So much so that I started writing about festivals/electronic music for various websites.
MOVIES:
Any Darren Aronofsky films
Anything Monty Python
SLC Punk
A Clockwork Orange
The Big Lebowski
Donnie Darko
Goodbye Lenin
Run Lola Run
101 Reykjavík
American Psycho
Dazed and Confused
...and so many more!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To say that ayahuasca was amazing may not be quite the right word, but it's close.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to collaborate on various artistic endeavors like making a micro/short film, doing a photoshoot, writing a song, whatever.
I really love languages so please teach me any useful phrases in your native tongue and maybe I can also teach you some phrases in Icelandic or help you with your English in return.
