Music, Movies, and Books

movies: dude, where's my car, the big lebowski, the pirate movie, moulin rouge, better off dead, bring it on

music: i like it all. my tastes are eclectic but my catalogue small. like a leech i feed off the musical lifeblood of others.

books: anything jared diamond, stephen pinker, stephen huntington, brian greene, matt ridley. i can stomach milton friedman. many of you may find these authors exceedingly boring, but they all try to explain the world and people around us in a scientific way for the masses. i'd like to figure why we are they way we are, and they're trying to figure it out. anything in that genre. for fiction: invalids home from hot climates, harry potter, the god of small things

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

impossible to pick just one. i've been blessed with a plethora of amazing experiences from tracking mountain gorillas to diving with hammerheads to flying through the mists of victoria falls in a microlight...

Teach, Learn, Share

travel in africa, life as an ex-pat, the intricacies of american football, perspectives on international "development"
