HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
have couchsurfers stay on my couch, show them around portland, make new friends and treat them the way I'd want to be treated if I was visiting them

i love the ability to make contact with people who KNOW the area you are visiting and to make new friends no matter where or who you are.
its an amazing way to see the world through a different lens

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-lived a year in a small community in Nicaragua with no running water, frequent power outages, amazing FRESH food everyday and an amazing group of locals that made me feel at home with out all the usual amenities
-watching the World Cup in the town square of Praha with thousands of fanatic futbol fans!
-a bike ride though rice fields of China to a bamboo raft that carried us downriver and then continuing our bike ride to the mud caves where we floated on mud
-volcano boarding down Cerro Negro in Leon, Nicaragua!
-riding in a row boat down the Nile with a seven year old Egyptian girl.
